Types of Accounting Voucher in Tally -part 3

when any person can start the bisiness then many transaction may be occured. Now in this topic we will discuss about the contra and journal voucher. When any person deposit cash in bank for the business purpose then it will be make entry in contra voucher. And when any transaction which are related to credit sale and purchased and any fixed assets are purchased  and contribution by the partner is recorded in journal voucher. 







How to see cash in hand?
  • Gateway of tally --> display  
  • display--> account books 
  • account book -->cash/bank
how to check the party balance amount?
  • Gateway of tally -->display
  • display --> account books
  • account books -->ledger.


Contra voucher:
Two types to preparing the contra entry:
  • Deposit: Amount received from the party and deposited in a bank.
Bank a/c--> Dr.
     To cash a/c

  • Borrowing: When borrowed from bank:
 Cash   A/C -->Dr.
       To bank a/c




Journal voucher: It is used for adjustable and transferable entry. All the entries which are related to credit sale and purchased are recorded in journal voucher. Or any fixed assets are purchased also recorded in this voucher. In journal voucher, when any entry make which are related to cash activate follow cash entry in journal with the help of press F12.

  • when any person purchase fixed assets on the behalf of the company
